Ekseption Ferulic Activator is a micro-exfoliating night cream for normal, combination and oily skin. Its formula supports gradual skin renewal and helps improve coarse texture, visible pores, fine lines, pigmentation and a dull complexion.

The dual exfoliating system combines lactic acid with exfoliating enzymes. Lactic acid helps loosen accumulated skin cells, while enzymes support surface renewal. Ferulic acid and vitamin E provide antioxidant care against free radicals and environmental stressors.

Tranexamic acid and nonapeptide-1 support a more even-looking complexion and help make pigmentation less noticeable. Additional peptides condition firmness, elasticity and smoothness.

Its fluid texture feels lightweight and does not leave a heavy, oily film. Ferulic Activator can be used as a three-week home resurfacing course or to prepare the skin for a professional peel when advised by a practitioner.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Lactic acid

An alpha hydroxy acid that helps loosen accumulated skin cells and supports natural renewal. It also has humectant properties and helps rough or dull skin appear smoother and brighter.

Ferulic acid

A plant-derived antioxidant that helps neutralise free radicals caused by UV exposure, pollution and other environmental influences. It supports protection against premature ageing but does not replace sunscreen.

Tranexamic acid

A cosmetic ingredient for pigmentation and uneven tone. It helps regulate processes associated with visible discolouration and supports a more even-looking complexion.

Exfoliating enzymes

Biofermentation-derived enzymes that gently loosen surface cells. Together with lactic acid, they form the dual exfoliation system.

Nonapeptide-1

A peptide that helps regulate visible pigmentation and supports a more even skin tone.

Palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl hexapeptide-12

HOW TO USE AS A THREE-WEEK COURSE

Use Ferulic Activator only at night.

1. Cleanse the face and neck gently.

2. Pat the skin dry.

3. Use a mild, non-exfoliating toner if desired.

4. Apply a small amount to the face and neck.

5. Avoid the eyes, eyelids, lips, nose creases and damaged skin.

6. Massage gently using upward circular movements.

7. Leave on overnight.

8. Always use SPF 30–50 the following morning.

The manufacturer recommends nightly use for three weeks. Skin that is not accustomed to acids should introduce it gradually.

GENTLE INTRODUCTION SCHEDULE

Week 1

Apply every other evening.

Week 2

Apply four or five evenings if the skin remains comfortable.

Week 3

Apply every evening when no persistent redness, dryness, itching or flaking develops.

After the course, take a break with hydrating and barrier-supporting care. Future frequency can be adjusted to the skin’s condition and practitioner’s advice.

Daily sunscreen is essential because exfoliation can increase sensitivity to UV exposure, while unprotected exposure can worsen pigmentation.

EVENING ROUTINE DURING THE COURSE

1. Gentle cleanser.

2. Non-exfoliating toner if desired.

3. Ferulic Activator as the final active step.

If the skin feels tight, use Ceramides Mask, Glacier Mask or a mild repair cream on recovery evenings. Do not automatically apply a thick occlusive cream over Ferulic Activator, as this may affect absorption and intensity.

Do not use Ferulic Activator and retinol on the same evening. An example schedule for experienced skin is:

During an intensive three-week course, temporarily pausing retinol is generally simpler. Restart retinol only when the skin feels calm and comfortable.

PREPARING FOR A PROFESSIONAL PEEL

Ferulic Activator may be used to prepare the skin for a professional peel when advised by the practitioner. The appropriate duration and frequency depend on skin type, condition and the selected peel.

Stop use before treatment when instructed. Do not use professional peeling products at home without qualified guidance.

USE AFTER COSMETIC PROCEDURES

Do not use immediately after microneedling, nanoneedling, laser, IPL, dermabrasion or a professional peel. The formula contains acids, enzymes and fragrance.

Wait until the skin is fully closed, calm and recovered and the practitioner approves use. The product is not sterile and must not be infused with a nanopen or dermaroller or injected.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING

The formula contains no retinol but does contain active acids and tranexamic acid. Seek advice from a doctor, pharmacist or qualified practitioner before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS

• Use only at night.
• Apply sunscreen every morning.
• Avoid the eye contour and lips.
• Do not apply to broken or sunburned skin.
• Introduce gradually when the skin is not accustomed to acids.
• Mild, brief tingling may occur.
• Discontinue following severe or persistent redness, swelling, itching or burning.
• Avoid waxing or shaving immediately before application when the skin is irritated.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

EXPECTED RESULTS

After several applications, the skin may feel softer and smoother. During a three-week course, texture, pore visibility and brightness may gradually improve.

Pigmentation and wrinkles will not disappear completely within three weeks. Consistent sunscreen use and an appropriate maintenance routine remain important.
