PCA Skin Hydrating Serum for dehydrated skin
PCA Skin Hydrating Serum is a lightweight hydrating serum for dehydrated, dry, sensitive or tight-feeling skin. Its formula combines antioxidants with moisture-binding ingredients that complement the skin’s natural moisturising factors.
The serum helps support skin moisture levels and promotes a softer, smoother and fresher appearance. Its lightweight texture layers easily underneath day or night cream, sunscreen and makeup.
Oily and blemish-prone skin can also become dehydrated. This serum provides moisture without relying on a heavy or greasy cream.
Who is PCA Skin Hydrating Serum suitable for?
• Dehydrated or tight-feeling skin.
• Dry or flaky skin.
• Normal and combination skin.
• Oily skin requiring lightweight hydration.
• Sensitive or uncomfortable-feeling skin.
• Fine dehydration lines.
• Dull or tired-looking skin.
• Use underneath makeup.
• Additional hydration during an active skincare routine.
What does PCA Skin Hydrating Serum do?
With consistent use, the serum helps:
• Improve skin moisture levels.
• Attract and retain water in the skin.
• Reduce dry and tight sensations.
• Make fine dehydration lines appear less noticeable.
• Leave the skin feeling softer and more supple.
• Support a fresh, plump and dewy-looking finish.
• Prepare the skin for moisturiser and sunscreen.
Key ingredients
Glycerin
Glycerin is a humectant that attracts water and helps retain it within the upper layers of the skin. It supports a softer and more comfortable feel.
Sodium hyaluronate
Sodium hyaluronate is the salt form of hyaluronic acid. It helps bind water to the skin and supports a smoother, plumper appearance.
Sodium PCA
Sodium PCA is part of the skin’s natural moisturising factors. It supports moisture retention and helps keep the skin soft and supple.
Aloe vera
Aloe vera helps hydrate and soothe the skin, supporting a comfortable feel.
Antioxidants
Antioxidants help protect the skin against free radicals and environmental stress. They complement but do not replace daily sunscreen.

Which products combine well?
Hydrating Toner
Apply Hydrating Toner after cleansing and before Hydrating Serum for additional hydration. Using both may not be necessary for every oily or combination skin type.
ReBalance
ReBalance is a lightweight, soothing moisturiser that can be applied over Hydrating Serum when hydration is needed without a very rich finish.
Silkcoat Balm
Silkcoat Balm provides a richer finishing layer for dry, mature or sensitive skin. The serum adds water-binding hydration, while the balm helps seal it in.
Hyaluronic Acid Overnight Mask
Apply Hydrating Serum underneath Hyaluronic Acid Overnight Mask when the skin needs more intensive overnight hydration. Follow the mask’s directions for frequency.
Retinol products
Hydrating Serum can complement a retinol routine by adding lightweight moisture. Introduce retinol gradually and reduce its frequency if persistent redness, discomfort or flaking develops.
Exfoliants and peels
Hydrating Serum can add moisture following an exfoliating product. Avoid layering several strong exfoliants and always follow professional aftercare instructions after a peel.
Sun protection
Finish every morning with a broad-spectrum sunscreen, such as PCA Skin Sheer Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 45, Weightless Protection Broad Spectrum SPF 45 or Hydrator Plus Broad Spectrum SPF 30.
What is the difference between a serum and a moisturiser?
Hydrating Serum attracts and binds moisture. A moisturiser also contains ingredients that help seal in hydration and support the skin barrier.
Most dry and dehydrated skin types should therefore follow the serum with a moisturiser. For very oily skin, a suitable daytime SPF may sometimes provide a sufficient final layer.
What results can you expect?
The serum can make the skin feel softer and more comfortable immediately. With consistent use, the complexion may appear smoother, more supple and better hydrated. Fine lines caused by dehydration can become less noticeable.
Hydrating skincare cannot remove deep wrinkles and does not replace medical treatment for eczema or other skin conditions.
